Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Clinical Psychologists are talking therapists that help you to work through and process your issues. They are trained in various approaches to help you to reach your goals (for example, your goal might be to process a bereavement, or to be free from an anxiety disorder) and they might give you coping techniques and exercises to help you cope with uncomfortable feelings or symptoms. All of our therapists are self employed, fully vetted, and you can have as many sessions as you want to with them.
Everything you say to your therapist, or details you provide to Chelmsford Therapy rooms, is completely confidential. Therapists offer a safe, non-judgemental and objective space for you to talk about whatever you need to. Talking to someone objective is a completely different experience to talking to a friend or family member and our clients report that they find it very helpful, enlightening, and even life changing.
There are lots of different types of therapy that you may have heard of such as CBT, EMDR, Psychodynamic therapy or Person Centred therapy. At Chelmsford Therapy Rooms our therapists are mostly integrative, which means they are trained in various different models. Not every model suits every person, therefore using an integrative approach means that you’re much more likely to get the results that you want.
Our therapists work in various ways such as Face to Face (in person), Online (via Zoom, Therapy Lock, or another online video platform), Telephone or Walk and Talk therapy. Please check the therapist’s profile to see how they work with clients.
Above all, the most important part of therapy is the relationship that you have with your therapist.
